next125 - A Vision
The name next125 comes from the metric grid size of 125mm and ensures that the working height, storage spaces and aesthetics are ideally optimised. With the grid—the height of a drawer to be specific—the components are perfectly compatible with one another. This flexible modularity results in a design language that is contemporary, straightforward and elegant with great emotional appeal.
Seven lead principles define the next125 brand and are part of every nex125 kitchen: Precision, Emotion, Reduction, Function, Elegance, Creativity and Technology.
next125 stands for timeless elegant design with a unique value proposition. Its highly advanced production facilities in Germany produce individual furnishing solutions of outstanding quality. With great skill and reliability, next125 brings innovative premium products to life, inspired by the Bauhaus values.

next125 x Ankon Mitra
next125 presents its new Creative Maker: Indian architect and sculptor Ankon Mitra. With the Delhi-based creative, next125 has brought on board an artist whose work opens up new spaces and perspectives. Mitra has developed an installation named ‘UN:FOLD’ that illustrates his idea of ‘oritecture’ in all its facets. Folded aluminium has been used to create a round, three-dimensional frame that plays on different viewing angles and perspectives. In the center lies a new next125 kitchen, which is encircled by the installation.

UN:FOLD
The complex folds lend a sense of vitality to the 8 × 8 m circular structure. The incoming light is reflected by the individual aluminium components to create a constantly changing dialogue of light and shadow. The installation’s varying heights of up to four metres create a visual dynamism, while the truncated structure brings about flowing transitions. Ankon Mitra’s work captures the moment of transformation and shows how rigid materials can be shaped into lifelike structures. ‘UN:FOLD’ gives shape to constant change.
The company
Based in Herrieden in southern Germany, Schüller Möbelwerk GmbH was founded in 1966 and has evolved over the last five decades into a specialist for custom kitchens and ‘Made in Germany’ furniture. Around 170,000 kitchens are manufactured at the company site every year, which are sold in Germany and on international markets. ‘Typical Schüller’ is not just about its extraordinary depth of production; it’s also about working with partners from retail, a clear focus on sustainability and a deeply embedded responsibility as a company. Since 2003, Markus Schüller, Max Heller and Manfred Niederauer have been leading the family-run company in its second generation.
